Revisiting Isothermal Effectiveness Factor Equations for Reversible Reactions

چکیده

Ion exchange resins have many industrial applications, namely as sorbents and catalysts. In solid-catalyzed reactions, intraparticle reaction-diffusion competition is generally described by effectiveness factors calculated numerically or analytically in the case of isothermal particles simple rate laws. Although robust, numerical calculations can be time-consuming, convergence not always guaranteed lacks flexibility user-friendly equations. this work, analytical equations for reversible reactions derived from general scheme A+B⇌C+D are developed validated. These expressed terms an irreversible nth order Thiele modulus (specifically written forward reaction), thermodynamic equilibrium constant, ratios effective diffusivities, surface concentrations. The application such illustrated two liquid phase catalyzed Amberlyst-15, specifically synthesis ethyl acetate acetaldehyde dimethyl acetal. For both prediction concentration profiles batch reactors achieved errors between 1.13% 3.38% six distinct experimental conditions. Finally, impact non-ideal behavior upon multicomponent subsequently conveyed to factors, enlightened.

Iterative Approximate Solutions of Kinetic Equations for Reversible Enzyme Reactions

We study kinetic models of reversible enzyme reactions and compare two techniques for analytic approximate solutions of the model. Analytic approximate solutions of non-linear reaction equations for reversible enzyme reactions are calculated using the Homotopy Perturbation Method (HPM) and the Simple Iteration Method (SIM). The results of the approximations are similar. The Matlab programs are ...

Isothermal reactions for the amplification of oligonucleotides.

We have devised a class of isothermal reactions for amplifying DNA. These homogeneous reactions rapidly synthesize short oligonucleotides (8-16 bases) specified by the sequence of an amplification template. Versions of the reactions can proceed in either a linear or an exponential amplification mode. Both of these reactions require simple, constant conditions, and the rate of amplification depe...

Equilibration in Reversible Bimolecular Reactions

Fast reversible pseudo-unimolecular reactions do not approach equilibrium in the simple exponential fashion predicted by chemical rate equations. Many-body effects in bimolecular reactions have been revealed in an extensive series of Brownian simulations, showing up to three distinct phases in the approach to equilibrium. Recent theoretical developments are compared with the simulation as well ...

Reversible linear differential equations

Let ∇ be a meromorphic connection on a vector bundle over a compact Riemann surface Γ. An automorphism σ : Γ → Γ is called a symmetry of ∇ if the pull-back bundle and the pull-back connection can be identified with ∇. We study the symmetries by means of what we call the Fano Group; and, under the hypothesis that ∇ has a unimodular reductive Galois group, we relate the differential Galois group,...

Grüneisen parameters and isothermal equations of state

The Grüneisen parameter (γ) is of considerable importance to Earth scientists because it sets limitations on the thermoelastic properties of the lower mantle and core. However, there are several formulations of the Grüneisen parameter in frequent use which not only give different values for γ at ambient pressure but also predict a varying dependence of γ as a function of compression. The Grünei...
